U.S. Supreme Court rules in favor of Mark Janus in Janus v AFSCME.

After the Supreme Court of the United States decided the Janus v. AFSCME public-sector labor union case this morning, Jonathan Small, president of the Oklahoma Council of Public Affairs (OCPA), made the following statement:

“Mark Janus won a victory for all public employees, who deserve the right to work for their own government without being forced to contribute to highly politicized labor unions,” Small said. “While Oklahoma already protects workers from being fired for choosing not to participate in a union, this decision reminds us that all state laws that tip the scales in favor of unions are a kind of subsidy for one political interest group over others.”
