OCPA’s Estela Hernandez Applauds Passage of Oklahoma Justice Reform Task Force Bills

After the Oklahoma Senate passed all of the Oklahoma Justice Reform Task Force’s Senate bills Tuesday morning, Estela Hernandez, Vice President of Engagement at the Oklahoma Council of Public Affairs, made the following statement:

“I applaud the Oklahoma Senate for passing these Task Force recommendations. These bills show a new approach to criminal justice, one proven to provide taxpayers a better return on their public safety investment,” Hernandez said. “I am thankful for the leadership of Governor Fallin, Senate leaders Mike Schulz and Greg Treat, and so many of our lawmakers who are making justice reform a top priority.”
