Statement from Jonathan Small on House Bill 2298

After Governor Fallin signed House Bill 2298, which moves up the sunset date of the zero-emissions tax credit to July 1, 2017, Oklahoma Council of Public Affairs President Jonathan Small made the following statement:

“We are thankful to Governor Fallin for taking this first step to rein in the unsustainable wind industry. Long-term, HB 2298 will save taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars. We simply can’t afford to keep subsidizing the wind industry and propping up Obama’s energy policy.”
