Protecting Oklahomans' health care freedom
March 22, 2010
This afternoon the Oklahoma Senate is debating a measure which would allow Oklahomans to "opt out" of ObamaCare. As constitutional attorney Clint Bolick makes clear, this state legislation does not attempt to "nullify" ObamaCare. Nor is it automatically preempted by the Supremacy Clause of the U.S. Constitution. It simply protects Oklahomans' essential rights in our federalist system, at a time when the current U.S. Supreme Court is the most pro-federalism Court in decades.
