Urge your state House member to move school board elections to November!

The time is now for moving school board elections to November.

School boards in Oklahoma currently are allowed to hold their elections in the first four months of the year, off-cycle, when almost nobody votes.

SB 244 would put all school board elections in November, alongside federal, state and county elections, bringing exponentially more voters—and more accountability—to our school boards.

Groups who don’t want public schools held accountable have mobilized to try to defeat the bill. Your state representative needs to hear from YOU today that you want him or her to support SB 244.

Please use this action tool to quickly and easily send an email to your state legislators, urging them to move school board elections to November.
