Oklahoma teacher salaries have risen dramatically
Curtis Shelton | November 10, 2023
In 2017, the average teacher salary (including fringe benefits) in Oklahoma was $45,646.
In the current school year, it is $62,640. That’s a 34 percent increase.
A large portion of the increase came during the 2023 legislative session, when an additional $250 million was added specifically for teacher salaries.
