Please join The Oklahoma Council of Public Affairs on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, for our 28th annual Citizenship Award dinner at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City.

Dr. Ben Carson—former U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, conservative political thought leader, and renowned pediatric neurosurgeon—will deliver a keynote address.

Dr. Benjamin S. Carson, Sr., M.D., is founder and chairman of the American Cornerstone Institute, a new think tank/do tank whose mission is to promote the four founding principles that are cornerstones of our country: faith, liberty, community, and life, as well as pursue common sense solutions that challenge conventional groupthink.

Dr. Carson most recently served as the 17th Secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. For nearly 30 years, Secretary Carson served as Director of Pediatric Neurosurgery at the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center. Dr. Carson authored eleven books, five of which he co-wrote with his wife Candy. Dr. Carson and his wife also co-founded the Carson Scholars Fund, which recognizes young people of all backgrounds for exceptional academic and humanitarian accomplishments. Please save the date for this special night.
