'The 21 greatest conservative rap songs of all time'
You may think that conservative policy wonks are a bunch of uptight curmudgeons openly hostile to the destructive musical genres so beloved of kids these days. But you would be wrong!
Indeed, last week two of my twentysomething colleagues here at OCPA were amazed — mortified might be a better word — to learn that I in fact know all the lyrics to this 1989 hip-hop classic. Moreover, my colleague Jonathan Small and I periodically have conversations about the theological sophistication of some current rap music. And now Harvard-trained economist Stan Veuger, a research fellow at the venerable American Enterprise Institute, has set out to give us a list of “the 21 rap songs to inspire the conservative movement in the 21st century.” Enjoy!
