Two Dozen Budget-Cutting Ideas for Policymakers
In May of this year OCPA presented its “thrifty fifty” budget ideas for state government.1 As the 2011 legislative session draws nigh, and lawmakers are searching for ways to save money, here are an additional two dozen recommendations. The annual savings from these recommendations is more than $93 million, with first year savings/cuts of more than $126 million.
